Meowie Edu AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Meowie Edu AI mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you register and use the app:

  • Account information: email address and full name
  • Child profiles: child name and age (no identifying documents)
  • Homework images: photos you upload for grading (processed and deleted after analysis)
  • Usage data: kibble balance, grading history, and AI analysis results stored for your reference

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide homework grading and AI feedback services
  • To maintain your account and kibble balance
  • To generate academic progress analyses across the school year
  • To improve app performance and fix issues

We do NOT use your child's homework images or personal data to train AI models.

4. AI Processing

Homework images are sent to Google's Gemini AI API for analysis. Images are processed transiently and are not stored by Google for training purposes under our enterprise agreement. Results are stored on our servers in Malaysia to provide you with grading history.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in Malaysia. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and encryption at rest for sensitive fields. Access to your data is protected by your account password, which is stored as a one-way hash.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
  • Google LLC (Gemini AI API) for homework processing only
  • When required by Malaysian law or court order

7. Children's Privacy

Meowie is designed to be used by parents on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. Parents are responsible for managing their account and child profiles.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Grading records and analyses are kept for up to 3 years to support academic progress tracking. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via our account deletion page. Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below or use our account deletion page. We will respond within 14 business days.
